The Programme Management entailed the following aspects:
SNA Civil and Structural Engineers were also contracted by National Treasury to execute the Programme Management for the Public Transport Infrastructure Projects (PTIS), related to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The PTIS was on national as well as local government level. The purpose of the programme management appointment was to evaluate the PTIS master plans of the Host Cities as well as the expected feasibility and expenditure linked to these projects.
The PTIS Projects were monitored over a prescribed period and projects not in execution at the milestone dates were called off and funds re-allocated to the projects which performed well. This programme saved millions of rand for projects which were tied up or were not feasible or did not get off the ground.
The process described above was a full time process for the duration of the construction period.
